Where in the world is Steve Fosset?

He, like many of his colleagues: Carmen San Diego, Bobby Fisher, the dog Spot, and Waldo, has been missing for quite a while now...
Millionaire Adventurer Steve went out for a joy flight in his private plane over the Nevada desert, and has not been seen since. Since Sept 3rd.
He's a hero of mine and here of some of his accomplishments:

-circumnavigation of the world-8 times,
-in a hot air balloon
-in a fixed wing aircraft
-in a sailboat
-set 116 world records in five different sports, 60 of which still stand.
-"the world's most accomplished speed sailor."
-In the Aviation hall of fame.
-Swam the English Channel
-A fellow of the Royal Geographic Society (which I recently joined, in his honor)

He's amazing! But I'm upset because they called off the search party after only a month of looking for him.

Here's the wikipedia link about his disappearance-

Adventurer Steve Fossett missing

At 8:45 am, on Monday, September 3, 2007, Fossett took off in a single-engine Bellanca Super Decathlon airplane from a private airstrip known as Flying-M Ranch ( 38°36′13″N, 119°00′11″W), near Smith Valley, Nevada, 30 miles south of Yerington, near Carson City and the California border. It was initially believed that Fossett was searching for a suitable lake bed for a world land speed record attempt.[38]
By September 10, search crews had found eight previously uncharted crash sites,[39][40] some decades old,[41] but none related to Fossett's disappearance. About two dozen aircraft were involved in the search.[42] Satellite imagery was also used to assist in the search.[43][44][45] Survival experts hosted by news organizations, CNN and MSNBC, reported on September 12 that Fossett was likely to be dead.[46][47]
On October 2, the Civil Air Patrol announced it had called off its search operation.[48] However privately funded and directed search efforts continue, including the use of a dedicated jet aircraft from High Altitude Mapping Missions Inc. to produce images at significantly higher resolution than available from satellites.

So, hopefully these private search groups succeed. Or he's pulling our legs, and he's hiding out somewhere with Tupac and Bob Marley... Any other thoughts? And really.....Where is Waldo?

I hear Waldo was last seen at the Lost + Found looking for his walking stick. He usually looses his shoes, his glasses but last I heard, he lost his wooden walking stick. He's so forgetful!

Nice post Landon. I hope they find Steve. I too, think he's out there.
